Sophie Dupont (b. 1975) is a Danish visual and performance artist educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and London Contemporary Dance School. Her practice unfolds across performance, installation, sculpture, and painting, grounded in a deep commitment to peace, presence, and embodied activism.
Working with breath as both medium and metaphor, Dupont creates sensorial and poetic works that emphasize the invisible force uniting all living beings. Through durational formats, repetition, and meditative awareness, her practice invites stillness and reflection in a world marked by urgency and unrest.
Sophie Dupont has, among others, exhibited at the National Gallery of Denmark (Copenhagen), KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art (Aalborg), Jordens Hus (Albertslund), Rønnebæksholm (Næstved), Overgaden Institute of Contemporary Art, and internationally across many different venues. She is currently presenting a solo exhibition at Holstebro Art Museum, which will travel to Sorø Art Museum later this year. Dupont is represented in a number of public collections, including National Gallery of Denmark (Copenhagen), KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art (Aalborg), and Malmö Konstmuseum
